Independence
We choose what to feature based on what is useful to our readers. Affiliate commissions and sponsorships do not decide which places we include or what we say about them. Sponsored content is always labelled.
Fact-checking
- We prefer primary sources: official websites, government portals and operators’ own announcements.
- Where we rely on news reports, we cite them and note the date.
- Each guide and listing shows when its key facts were last checked.
- If we cannot verify a detail, such as a price or an opening date, we leave it out or say it is unconfirmed.
Prices, ratings and reviews
We do not publish star ratings or reviews from third parties, and we never publish ratings or reviews we have made up. Hotel star classifications are shown only when they come from an official source. Prices appear only with the date they were checked, and we encourage you to confirm them before booking.
Images
We use our own photographs, images supplied by venues with permission, or properly licensed stock. We do not present stock images as a specific property unless they come from that property.
Corrections
When we find or are told about an error, we correct it promptly and update the “facts checked” date. Significant corrections are noted on the page. Use the “Suggest a correction” link on any page to report a problem.
Closures and changes
When a hotel or attraction closes temporarily, we add a visible notice and the expected reopening date if one has been announced. Places that close permanently are removed or clearly marked.
