  • Wildlife: Arabian oryx and gazelle

Al Maha is a secluded resort inside the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, where Arabian oryx and gazelle roam freely. Each suite has its own plunge pool, and activities such as nature drives and falconry are part of the stay.

It is one of the most romantic places to stay in the UAE, and a complete change from the city.

  • Spa

Good to know

  • Plan for a road transfer of roughly an hour from the city.
  • Check the resort’s age policy before booking with children.

Before you book

  • Compare the total price, not the nightly headline: check whether VAT and the hotel's own service charges are included.
  • Dubai's Tourism Dirham fee (AED 7 to 20 per room per night, depending on the hotel's category, for up to 30 nights) is usually paid at the hotel.
  • Note the free-cancellation deadline and which time zone it uses (Dubai is GMT+4).
  • Bring your passport or Emirates ID for check-in; many hotels also place a refundable deposit hold on a card.
  • Ask about early check-in or late check-out before you travel if your flight lands early or leaves late.
