Palm Jumeirah
Resort hotels and private beaches on the famous island
Dubai’s palm-shaped island: resort hotels, private beaches and Atlantis at the tip of the crescent.
Palm Jumeirah is the palm-shaped island off the Jumeirah coast. Its trunk carries apartments, malls and The Palm Tower, its fronds hold private villas, and the outer crescent is lined with resort hotels, ending at Atlantis.
Why stay here
This is resort Dubai. Most hotels have their own beaches and pools, many with views back to the Marina skyline. It suits holidays where the hotel itself is the main event, with the option of heading into the city for a day.
What to know
Distances on the island are longer than they look. The Palm Monorail runs along the trunk to Atlantis and links to the Dubai Tram at Palm Jumeirah station, but most people use taxis. Getting to Downtown typically takes 25 to 40 minutes by road.

Stays in Palm Jumeirah
Crescent resorts offer the most seclusion; hotels on the trunk are closer to malls and the Monorail and often better value.
