Waterfront towers, a busy promenade and a long public beach at JBR, with the tram and Metro close by.
Dubai Marina is built around a man-made canal roughly three kilometres long lined with residential towers, restaurants and yachts. Next door, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) faces the sea with The Walk and The Beach, an open-air strip of cafés and shops behind a wide public beach. Bluewaters Island, home to the Ain Dubai observation wheel, sits just offshore.
Why stay here
You get beach and city life in one place. Mornings can be spent on the sand at JBR, evenings walking the marina promenade. The Dubai Tram runs through the district and connects to the Red Line Metro and to the Palm Monorail.
What to know
It is lively and can be loud on weekend nights. Traffic on the roads around the marina is slow at peak times, so the tram and walking are often quicker. Downtown is roughly 30 minutes away by Metro.
